NEACEFE Project Report
Managed NEACEFE website updates, enhancing user experience, engagement, and visibility while coordinating with stakeholders and mitigating risks.
As a project manager for the NEACEFE Service-Learning semester-long community partner-based project, I led a team to update the NEACEFE (New England Association for Cooperative Education and Field Experience) website. Our primary goal was to enhance user experience, increase engagement, and promote the organization’s initiatives. Key tasks included evaluating and updating the website’s design, layout, and content, ensuring the information was accurate and engaging. We also improved the multimedia gallery, showcasing photos and videos from various experiential education programs and events.
One of our critical responsibilities was setting up website analytics to track performance metrics such as traffic, engagement, and conversion rates. This data was vital for making informed decisions about further improvements. Additionally, we compared and suggested alternatives to the existing website hosting platform, WildApricot, and trained board members on how to update the website using this platform.
Throughout the project, effective communication and stakeholder engagement were crucial. We held weekly huddles and monthly board meetings to ensure alignment and address any conflicting opinions. We also managed potential risks, such as technical issues, content delays, and access credentials, to keep the project on track. This project provided invaluable real-world experience in project management, teamwork, and stakeholder engagement.
